Predicted Score: Jets 27, Bills 17
New York Jets: The Jets are no great shakes on offense (ranked 28th) but look to get healthy this week facing a Bills defense that hasn't stopped anybody on the ground or through the air. Thomas Jones must be licking his chops after seeing Ronnie Brown roll up 211 yds and 3 TDs against a Bills defense missing a slew of starters. Quarterback Chad Pennington is still nursing an ankle injury but is expected to start. WR Jerricho Cotchery is questionable with a shoulder injury. He's been limited in practice but expected to play.
- Start: RB Thomas Jones, WR Laveranues Coles
- Consider: WR Jerricho Cotchery, QB Chad Pennington
- Sit: RB Leon Washington, TE Chris Baker
Buffalo: The Bills have been outscored 64-10 in their last two games, have been decimated by injuries, and seem to have lost all contact with Lee Evans. Evans has a grand total of 5 catches for the year, 29 yards and zero touchdowns. Ouch. Trent Edwards will start at quarterback for the injured J.P. Losman (knee) who left last weeks game in the first quarter. Edwards filled in, but only managed 10-of-20 for 97 yards and one interception against one of the best teams in the league… the New England Patriots. Normally, this might be a good spot for the Bills to get healthy, as the Jets don't' impose any real threat on defense but Buffalo is in such disarray personnel wise, their chances of winning this game are slim to none.
- Start: RB Marshawn Lynch
- Consider: WR Lee Evans
- Sit: QB Trent Edwards, QB J.P. Losman, TE Robert Royal WR Peerless Price, WR Josh Reed
