Predicted Score: Browns 27, Dolphins 13
Cleveland: The Browns got whipped by the Patriots last week but could return the favor this week against a winless Miami team missing their starting quarterback. But they may have to do it without the services of running back Jamal Lewis who suffered a sprained foot against New England. Jason Wright filled in to the tune of 102 yards after Lewis left in the first quarter and will likely get the start this week. If the running game doesn't work, how about throwing the rock to Braylon Edwards and Kellen Winslow? Both are among the top-ranked receivers in the league and seem to be on the same page with Anderson and should have no problem taking advantage Dolphins pass defense that gave up 294 yards to Matt Schaub last week.
- Start: WR Braylon Edwards, TE Kellen Winslow
- Consider: QB Derek Anderson, RB Jason Wright
- Sit: RB Jamal Lewis (inj) WR Joe Jurevicius (inj)
Miami: As if things couldn't get any worse for the 0-5 Dolphins the team will turn to backup quarterback Cleo Lemon to face the Browns. Week 5 starter, Trent Green, suffered what could be a career-ending concussion last week while attempting to throw a block for wideout Ted Ginn. Losing Green leaves the Dolphins two inexperienced quarterbacks… Lemon, who's played in a grand total of five NFL games and John Beck who has yet to see the field during the regular season. The good news is Cleveland has the worst ranked defense against the pass and Ronnie Brown continues to run like a workhorse but losing a leader like Green and a porous defense is not a recipe for success… even against the Browns.
- Start: RB Ronnie Brown
- Consider: WR Chris Chambers, K Jay Feeley
- Sit: QB Cleo Lemon, QB Trent Green (inj) RB Jesse Chatman TE David Martin
