Game Preview

Predicted Score: Bengals 27, Jets 21
New York Jets: There was a Thomas Jones sighting last week as the former Bears running back rushed for 130 yards although he still hasn't found the endzone. That was the only bright spot for New York as they dropped to 1-4 with a loss at home to the Eagles. Chad Pennington ranks 21st among fantasy quarterbacks and the grumblings for Kellen Clemens get louder each week. The Jets do catch a break here and should be able to post some points against the sieve-like defense of the Bengals but it a game that will be decided by the offenses, this one is a no-brainer to call.
- Start: WR Laveranues Coles
- Consider: RB Thomas Jones, WR Jerricho Cotchery, QB Chad Pennington
- Sit: RB Leon Washington, TE Chris Baker
Cincinnati: The Bengals season is on the brink although they may have thrown in the towel after last week's loss to Kansas City. After losing four straight Chad Johnson's ego is in full swing to the point of being upset when a fellow teammate (T.J. Houshmandzadeh) scored a 42-yard touchdown last week. Lucky for Cincinnati they face the 1-4 Jets this week who occasional show up on defense. Palmer, Johnson, and Houshmandzadeh should have nice games while the running attack is clamoring for an identity. Rudi Johnson played sparingly (4 carries) against Kansas City and has missed practice this week. Chris Perry however is back at work and may see action along with Kenny Watson.
- Start: QB Carson Palmer, WR Chad Johnson, WR T.J. Houshmandzadeh
- Consider: TE Reggie Kelley, K Shayne Graham, RB Kenny Watson
- Sit: RB Rudi Johnson, Bengals D/ST
