Game Preview
Mike Krueger
Predicted Score: Steelers 24, Broncos 17
Pittsburgh: A good Sunday night game in store as the Steelers should be at full strength with the return of wide receivers Hines Ward (knee) and Santonio Holmes (hamstring). But who needs to throw the ball when you're the second best rushing team in the league (167 rushing yards a game) going up against the worst rushing defense in the league. Willie Parker should have a nice night and could easily be the leading fantasy RB in Week 7. Ben Roethlisberger has been solid throwing for at least 1 TD in every game but still hasn't posted a 300-yd passing day.
- Start: RB Willie Parker
- Consider: QB Ben Roethlisberger, WR Hines Ward, WR Santonio Holmes, TE Heath Miller, Steelers D/ST, K Jeff Reed
- Sit: WR Cedrick Wilson, WR Nate Washington
Denver: The Broncos will try an end a three game losing streak Sunday night and erase the memory of the 41-3 butt-kicking they received at the hands of the Chargers two weeks ago. But they'll have to do it without the services of wide receiver Javon Walker who will undergo surgery on his right knee Friday and be out for "a few weeks," according to head coach Mike Shanahan. Brandon Marshall becomes the number one target for Jay Cutler. Running back Travis Henry is still available to play as his off-field problems are delayed for three weeks but don't expect big numbers if the Broncos fall behind and are forced to pass.
- Start: WR Brandon Marshall RB Travis Henry
- Consider: QB Jay Cutler, WR Brandon Stokley, TE Daniel Graham, K Jason Elam
- Sit: WR Javon Walker, TE Tony Scheffler
