Predicted Score: Cowboys 27, Eagles 20
Dallas: Tony Romo will take his fat new contract extension and NFC-leading 16 touchdown passes into Philadelphia this week, the first stop on a pivotal three game trip through the NFC East. Romo has cooled a little from his hot start but still remains one of the best fantasy QB options week to week. Owens and Jason Witten are mismatches against their defenders and are amongst the league leaders at their positions. Marion Barber is coming off busiest workload of the season rushing 19 times against the Vikings for 96 yards and 1 touchdown. Perhaps Wade Philips is succumbing to the fact that Barber is a better back than Julius Jones and deserves the bulk of the carries but for now Jones will continue to start, frustrating Barber owners in the process.
- Start: QB Tony Romo, WR Terrell Owens, TE Jason Witten
- Consider: RB Marion Barber, Cowboys D/ST
- Sit: RB Julius Jones, WR Patrick Crayton, WR Terry Glenn (inj)
Philadelphia: With all the off-field problems surrounding Andy Ried's sons, its difficult to imagine his focus is solely on his football team and the Dallas Cowboys. The game will go on and the Eagles must find a way to stop the Cowboys offensive weapons. Getting S Brian Dawkins back would be a nice start. He's been out since Week 2 with a neck stinger but did return to practice this week in an effort to play. On offense the Eagles will need to find a way to score some points. Their averaging 19.9 points per game but that won't cut it here. Brian Westbrook will have to be all-world rushing and receiving as the Eagles wideouts are failing to get separation from DBs and the tight seems to be a forgotten option in the offense.
- Start: RB Brian Westbrook
- Consider: QB Donovan McNabb
- Sit: WR Reggie Brown, WR Kevin Curtis, TE L.J. Smith (inj), TE Matt Schobel, Eagles D/ST
