Game Preview
Mike Krueger

Predicted Score: Browns 31, Seahawks 27

Cleveland: Derek Anderson is on roll throwing 10 TDs in his last four games while leading the Browns to a surprising 4-3 record. Benefiting from Anderson's play has been wideout Braylon Edwars and tight end Kellen Winslow who are absolute must-starts for your fantasy team. Running back Jamal Lewis returned last week from a sprained foot rushing for 61 yards on 17 carries against a suspect Rams run defense. Muddling up the backfield is the addition of Jerome Harrison who received 5 carries last week (32 yards) to go along with Jason Wright's 4 carries (19 yards). Lewis is a marginal play here against a better than average run defense. Keep your eye on this game in between plays of the Colts-Patriots contest; there should be some entertaining action with a lot of downfield action.

  • Start: QB Derek Anderson, WR Braylon Edwards, TE Kellen Winslow
  • Consider: RB Jamal Lewis
  • Sit: WR Joe Jurevicius

Seattle: The Seahawks seem to have a stranglehold on the NFC West despite only leading the division by one game over the Arizona Cardinals. San Francisco and St. Louis are just playing out the schedule so as long as Seattle doesn't trip over there own feet they should be a lock for the playoffs. They will have to play better the next few weeks to solidify their status and getting Shaun Alexander on track might be a good start. The once fantasy stud has turned into a dud this season bothered by a broken bone in his hand and stuck behind a mediocre offensive line. His two touchdowns have fantasy owners crying "Bust" and is desperate need of a wakeup call. With Alexander running like girl, Matt Hasselbeck has taken the reigns of the offense with mixed results. He should get some help this week as Deion Branch and D.J. Hackett are expected to return to the starting lineup in what should be a relatively high-scoring game involving two subpar defenses.

  • Start: WR Bobby Engram, K Josh Brown
  • Consider: QB Matt Hasselbeck, RB Shaun Alexander, WR Deion Branch, D.J. Hackett
  • Sit: WR Nate Burleson, Seahawks D/ST, TE Marcus Pollard
