Jacksonville: Head coach Jack Del Rio said quarterback David Garrard is expected to miss at least one more game while he recovers from an ankle injury. "I think he's likely to start walking around and moving this week. The most likely scenario would be to have him possibly return against the Titans [in two weeks]. I think it would be very difficult for him to make it back this week." That means another week of Quinn Gray as the starting quarterback and another week of Jacksonville struggling on offense. Gray threw for 100 yards and 1 TD against the Titans completing seven passes in the process. Expect a heavy dose of Fred Taylor and Maurice Jones-Drew (if healthy). Drew received a lighter workload last week partly due to his bruised knee. Jacksonville's defense should keep them in this game and won the game for them against the Buccaneers but that kind of performance doesn't happen two weeks in a row.
- Start: Jaguars D/ST, RB Fred Taylor
- Consider: RB Maurice Jones-Drew
- Sit: QB Quinn Gray, WR Dennis Northcutt, WR Ernest Wilford, TE Marcedes Lewis WR Matt Jones, K Josh Scobee (inj)
New Orleans: After a dismal start the Saints and Drew Brees have things moving in the right direction. Brees has thrown eight touchdowns the last three weeks and while marginal numbers are to be expected against the Jags secondary, keeping a lid on the turnovers should be enough to get a victory against Jacksonville's one-dimensional offense. Marques Coltson found the endzone again, scoring three times at San Francisco and Reggie Bush continues to post solid numbers both running and receiving. The number two wide receiver rotation seems to be favoring David PatteRn who notched his second 100-yd game of the season while Devery Henderson's 3 catches over the last three weeks makes him a perfect option for your bench or out-right release.
- Start: RB Reggie Bush
- Consider: QB Drew Brees, WR Marques Colston, TE Eric Johnson
- Sit: K Olindo Mare WR Devery Henderson, WR David Patten, TE Mark Campbell
