Predicted Score: Bears 30, Raiders 13
Chicago: The Bears are coming off their bye staring up at the Lions and Packers in their division. At 3-5 their playoff chances are slim but if they want to turn their season around, they'll have to begin this week against the Raiders. Look for Cedric Benson to get healthy against the Oakland defense that's given up six 100-yd rushing games a rushing TD to every back it's faced. Griese should find some modest success as well in a game that on the surface would appear to be a low-scoring snoozer but could easily turn into a rout if the Raiders fold up like a cheap tent.
- Start: RB Cedric Benson, QB Brian Griese, Bears D/ST
- Consider: WR Bernard Berrian, TE Desmond Clark, WR Muhsin Muhammad, K Robbie Gould, TE Greg Olsen
- Sit: WR Devin Hester
Oakland: The Raiders are searching for answers inserting Josh McCown back into the starting lineup even making a change at running back, demoting LaMont Jordan in favor of Justin Fargas who rushed for 104 yards on 23 carries last week against Houston. The Raiders aerial attack is non-existent with only 3 games over 200 yds passing on the season… it won't be long before we see JaMarcus Russell. And if you think there's a homefield advantage for the Raiders, you'd be wrong; Oakland's lost seven out of its last eight at home. All of this points to a Bears blowout… in fact; this game may be over at halftime.
- Start: RB Justin Fargas
- Consider: WR Ronald Curry, WR Jerry Porter, QB Josh McCown
- Sit: RB LaMont Jordan, TE Zach Miller
