Predicted Score: Bengals 24, Cardinals 21
Arizona: The Cardinals put up a good fight at home (wins against Pittsburgh, Seattle & Detroit) but on the road they are 1-4. They travel to Cincinnati this week who's thrown in the towel on the season but still has enough weapons to give the Cardinals fits. The Cardinals suffered a blow on defense losing outside linebacker Bertrand Berry for the season with a triceps injury. Keeping with injury news, while Anquan Boldin is playing, he admits he is not 100% after suffering a hip injury earlier this season and his coach concurs… "It really bothers him when he picks his leg up, and that's when you drive in and out of your routes. Until he gets back 100 percent, he's not going to be as good as maybe you would expect for him to be." Warner still has Larry Fitzgerald and a capable Bryant Johnson to throw to so don't be surprised to see better than average numbers from Kurt despite an Arizona loss.
- Start: RB Edgerrin James, WR Larry Fitzgerald
- Consider: QB Kurt Warner
- Sit: WR Anquan Boldin WR Bryant Johnson, TE Leonard Pope
Cincinnati: In his first game back from suspension, wide receiver Chris Henry had an immediate impact catching 4 passes for 99 yards. If he's still available in your league you could do a lot worse at your #3 or #4 wideout. Last week also saw the return of running back Rudi Johnson as the main ball carrier. He finished the day with 22 carries but was ineffective (46 yards) while Kenny Watson had 9 carries (24 yards) and 3 receptions (25 yards). Both are expected to be involved in the offense from here on out with Johnson being the better fantasy option. Tight end Reggie Kelly is expected back this week from a knee injury but has little fantasy value. With all his weapons back, this is a good matchup for Palmer and the passing game and a chance for the Bengals to save some face.
- Start: QB Carson Palmer, WR Chad Johnson, WR T.J. Houshmandzadeh
- Consider: RB Rudi Johnson, K Shayne Graham, WR Chris Henry
- Sit: RB Kenny Watson, Bengals D/ST, TE Reggie Kelley
