Game Preview
Mike Krueger
Predicted Score: Eagles 24, Dolphins 10
Miami: Going with this week's trend, the Dolphins will also make a quarterback change as rookie John Beck will make his first NFL start replacing Cleo Lemon who started the last four games for the winless Dolphins. Unfortunately Beck will face the blitzing Eagles defense, which should harass and confuse the youngster into mistakes and another loss for the fins. The other bit of news in Miami this week concerns Ricky Williams' who was reinstated by the NFL this week. Williams is eligible to attend team meetings and practice immediately, but the earliest he would be allowed to play in a game would be Monday night, Nov. 26. The Dolphins have given no indication if they want Williams around but if you have a roster spot and are desperate for a running back you might take a flier a stash (no pun intended) him on your bench.
- Start: RB Jesse Chatman
- Consider: N/A
- Sit: TE David Martin, WR Marty Booker, WR Ted Ginn, QB John Beck, K Jay Feeley
Philadelphia: The Eagles got a big victory over the Redskins last week but can't afford a letdown here if they want to keep their dim playoff hopes alive. The offense continues to revolve around running back Brian Westbrook who turned in a monster game last week (183 total yards, 3 TDs) and leads all running backs with 518 receiving yards. Donovan McNabb is starting to creep up the fantasy QB rankings as well but needs to keep churning out the 240-yard-games to make us a believer. Tight End L.J. Smith has caught 6 passes for 83 yards and 1 TD over the last two weeks and seems to be recovered from his groin injury enough to be worthy of your lineup consideration.
- Start: RB Brian Westbrook, QB Donovan McNabb
- Consider: WR Reggie Brown, WR Kevin Curtis TE L.J. Smith, Eagles-D/ST
- Sit: TE Matt Schobel
