Game Preview
Mike Krueger
Predicted Score: Packers 28, Panthers 10
Carolina: The Panthers are 4-5 but you get the feeling they're one of the worst teams in the league. They're on a three game losing streak and this week had three healthy quarterbacks in practice for the first time in a month. Now running back DeShaun Foster has aggravated a turf toe injury, wide receiver Steve Smith is bothered by a leg contusion, and ohh yeah… they have to travel on the road to face the the 8-1 Green Bay Packers. If anybody has any reasoning why this game will be close, I'd love to hear it… mike@fftoday.com.
- Start: WR Steve Smith,
- Consider: RB DeShaun Foster
- Sit: RB DeAngelo Williams, WR Drew Carter WR Keary Colbert, WR Dwayne Jarrett, TE Jeff King
Green Bay: The Packers continue their magical season, last week beating up on the punchless Vikings who lost their best player, Adrian Peterson, to a knee injury. This week, Favre and the boys get another punchless offense and below average defense to shred in Carolina. Farve has posted three 300-yd passing games in a row and now that Ryan Grant has given them a respectable rushing attack, this team looks poised for a playoff bye week. Carolina is simply a bump in the schedule as Green Bay looks forward to a Week 13 matchup with Dallas.
- Start: QB Brett Favre, WR Greg Jennings WR Donald Driver, Ryan Grant
