Predicted Score: Saints 27, Texans 17
New Orleans: Just when you thought the Saints were getting the ball rolling in the right direction a loss comes at the hands of the St. Louis Rams. Drew Brees fumbled twice and threw two interceptions in the loss and Reggie Bush was dazed by a helmet-to-helmet hit. Bush is expected to play this week as the Saints look to get back on track against the Texans who can be beat on the ground. Could we Bush's first 100-yd rushing game of the season? Perhaps, but don't look for New Orleans to get away from their bread and butter… Brees to Coltson has accounted for 18 completions and 288 yards the last two weeks. How about a TD this week, guys?
- Start: QB Drew Brees, RB Reggie Bush, WR Marques Colston, TE Eric Johnson
- Consider: K Olindo Mare
- Sit: WR Devery Henderson, TE Mark Campbell
Houston: The Texans will have their offensive weapons back this week as Matt Schaub, and Andre Johnson are expected to be back in the starting lineup. Ahman Green may return as well, but his knee continues to give him problems and will likely be a issue the remainder of the season. With the running game stuck in neutral expect Schaub to move the ball at a pretty good clip against the Saints defense with Johnson, Walter, and Owens being the prime targets. However, without a balanced attacked and a weak run defense Houston will struggle to match scores with the Saints.
- Start: QB Matt Schaub, WR Andre Johnson, TE Owen Daniels
- Consider: WR Kevin Walter
- Sit: RB Ahman Green, RB Ron Dayne
