Predicted Score: Steelers 30, Jets 10
Pittsburgh: Ben Roethlisberger continued his '07 success with a superb effort against the Browns last week tossing two TDs and rushing for another in a 31-28 victory. "Ben, he just keeps getting better and better," said Hines Ward who's been on the receiving end of the three touchdowns the last three weeks. Along with Roethlisberger, Willie Parker is among the league leaders in rushing and the Steelers defense ranks 1st in the league in both yardage and points allowed. This is an easy game to call, even on the road, as I'd be shocked if the porous Jets defense has any answer for Willie Parker who should rack up the yardage and even cross the goaline for the first time since Week 8.
- Start: QB Ben Roethlisberger, RB Willie Parker, WR Hines Ward, WR Santonio Holmes, TE Heath Miller, Steelers D/ST, K Jeff Reed
- Consider: N/A
- Sit: WR Cedrick Wilson, WR Nate Washington
New York Jets: The Jets come off their bye having dropped their last 6 games and now face one of the best teams in the AFC… and by the way it won't get any easier as New York travels to Dallas next week; yikes. Kellen Clemens looked respectable in his last outing throwing for 226 yards and 1 TD against the Redskins but faces a tough challenge this week against the Steelers defense that needs no introduction. Perhaps a garbage time score for Clemens but anything more is just wishful thinking.
- Start: WR Laveranues Coles
- Consider: RB Thomas Jones, WR Jerricho Cotchery
- Sit: QB Kellen Clemens, RB Leon Washington, TE Chris Baker
