Game Preview
Antonio D'Arcangelis
Predicted Score: Saints 34, Cards 24
New Orleans: The Saints seem to be clicking offensively - especially within the thriving passing game - and the Cards pass defense has been exposed repeatedly. Sunday should see more of the same, with Drew Brees having another big day. I certainly like Aaron Stecker's fit as an every-down back more than Reggie Bush, whose biggest upside is within the passing game and will likely sit out the next couple games. Marques Colston is a huge red zone threat who's having an exceptional second half, and David Patten's coming off a career day.
- Start: QB Drew Brees, WR Marques Colston, RB Aaron Stecker
- Consider: K Olindo Mare, TE Eric Johnson, WR David Patten
- Sit: RB Reggie Bush (out), WR Devery Henderson, TE Mark Campbell
Arizona: Kurt Warner is tough, but the Saints' pass rush is improving and could cause a few turnovers in key spots. I think you've got to start most of your Cards offensive players unless they sit because of injury, and I'd like to see Edgerrin James used more effectively in the red zone, something that could happen against a Saints D that I've seen get manhandled inside the 20.
- Start: QB Kurt Warner, RB Edgerrin James, WR Larry Fitzgerald
- Consider: WR Jerheme Urban, WR Bryant Johnson
- Sit: WR Anquan Boldin (toe) TE Leonard Pope (IR)
