Predicted Score: Rams 24, Falcons 10
Atlanta: Falcons continue to walk through their abysmal season with nothing to look forward to except the finish line. Head coach Bobby Petrino plans to "stick with" Joey Harrington at quarterback (whatever that means) but whether its Leftwich or Harrington, it doesn't really matter. Atlanta is 31st in league scoring (14.1 ppg) and has given up 31 points in both of their last two games. Plain and simple, the Falcons are one of the worst teams in the league and the end of the 2007 season can't come soon enough.
- Start: WR Roddy White
- Consider: RB Warrick Dunn, TE Alge Crumpler
- Sit: RB Jerious Norwood, QB Joey Harrington, WR Joe Horn, WR Michael Jenkins
St. Louis: The Rams are bottom-feeding right along with Falcons but have won two of their last three games (NO, SF) and gave the Seahawks a tussle before succumbing late in the fourth quarter. Part of St. Louis' problems this season has been injuries, which came to bite them again last week. Quarterback Marc Bulger did not practice Wednesday and won't be cleared to do so until he passes a baseline test after suffering a concussion last Sunday. Gus Frerotte will start if Bulger can't play. While this game clearly favors the Rams even if Bulger sits, I do have to point out the Rams are 0-5 at home this year…. however the Falcons are only 1-4 on the road.
- Start: QB Gus Frerotte, RB Steven Jackson, WR Torry Holt
- Consider: WR Isaac Bruce
- Sit: TE Randy McMichael, K Jeff Wilkins, WR Drew Bennett
