Game Preview
Mike Krueger
Predicted Score: Eagles 27, Seahawks 24
Philadelphia: The Eagles are coming off a moral victory against the Patriots only losing by four points without Donovan McNabb. But moral victories don't count in the standings and the Eagles are in a need of win to keep their wildcard hopes alive. Speaking of McNabb, he did not participate in practice Wednesday or Thursday and will likely miss this week's game. "We'll see how he does," Reid said. "We're trying to get him back to 100 percent before we stick him in the game." Reid did say that McNabb does not have to practice in order to play but considering the way Feeley played against New England last week, another week of rest for McNabb is justified. Brian Westbrook is averaging 160 total yards in five home games.
- Start: RB Brian Westbrook, WR Kevin Curtis
- Consider: QB A.J. Feeley, TE L.J. Smith
- Sit: WR Reggie Brown, TE Matt Schobel, Eagles-D/ST
Seattle: The Seahawks have won three straight games but barely held off the Rams last week and now travel across the country for an early game against the… improving Eagles? It appears running back Shaun Alexaner will return, at least in a limited role this week and will likely split carries with Maurce Morris making both of them non-fantasy factors. Look for Hasselbeck to air it out most of the day and post decent numbers despite not having the services of D.J. Hackett who re-aggravated his sprained ankle. Deion Branch and Bobby Engram will both be good plays.
- Start: QB Matt Hasselbeck, WR Deion Branch, WR Bobby Engram
- Consider: TE Marcus Pollard, WR Nate Burleson, K Josh Brown
- Sit: RB Maurice Morris, RB Shaun Alexander, Seahawks D/ST
