Predicted Score: Broncos 24, Raiders 17
Denver: The Broncos are coming off a crushing loss at Chicago… a game they had in hand until blowing a 14-point fourth quarter lead, eventually losing in overtime. Rookie running back Andre Hall did all he could rushing for 98 yards and one score but suffered a high ankle sprain in the process and will likely miss this game against the Raiders. It does appear that Travis Henry and Selvin Young will both be available however. "They should be ready to go," Shanahan said. "I'm ready to play," said Young, who missed last week with a strained knee, "My knee feels real good," added Henry. Expect both to see carries and also look for Javon Walker to have an increased role as he eases back from his own knee injury. The Broncos have won the last five games between these teams.
- Start: N/A
- Consider: RB Selvin Young, RB Travis Henry, QB Jay Cutler, TE Tony Scheffler, WR Brandon Marshall, WR Javon Walker
- Sit: WR Brandon Stokley, K Jason Elam TE Daniel Graham
Oakland: The Raiders ended a nine game losing streak to the Chiefs last week winning 20-17 at Arrowhead Stadium. They look to end their five-game losing streak against the Broncos this week which won't be an easy task considering they are 1-4 at home this season and are looking for any opportunity to get rookie quarterback JaMarcus Russell some playing time. Culpepper will start this week but if the Raiders fall behind early, don't be surprised to see Russell on the field in the second half. Justin Fargas is a good play against the sub-standard Broncos run defense but keep all other Raiders on your fantasy bench.
- Start: RB Justin Fargas
- Consider: WR Ronald Curry, WR Jerry Porter, QB Daunte Culpepper
- Sit: TE Zach Miller, RB LaMont Jordan
