Game Preview
Mike Krueger
Predicted Score: Titans 20, Jets 10
Tennessee: The Titans are in the playoff hunt but will need some help along the way. The Jets have been out of the hunt for quite some time and are looking for help next season. Tennessee beat up on the lowly Chiefs last week thanks to two touchdowns from Vince Young to Roydell Williams… only the third time all season Young has thrown two or more touchdowns in one game. With the Jets improving pass defense expect Tennessee to keep the ball on the ground pounding at the New York's 30th ranked run defense meaning a big day is in store for LenDale White and possibly even Chris Brown.
- Start: RB LenDale White
- Consider: QB Vince Young, RB Chris Brown, Titans D/ST
- Sit: TE Bo Scaife, WR Roydell Williams, WR Eric Moulds
New York Jets: The Jets are nursing injuries to key offensive players. Wide receiver Laveranues Coles (ankle) has been limited in practice this week but expects to "give it a go" on Sunday. He only made it through one quarter last week before spending the rest of the game on the sidelines. At Quarterback, Kellen Clemens is expected to sit this week after sustaining rib and shoulder injures against New England. Chad Pennington is expected to get the start with Brad Smith taking snaps for a few specialty plays. The Jets are 1-6 on the road this season.
- Start: WR Jerricho Cotchery
- Consider: RB Thomas Jones
- Sit: QB Chad Pennington, WR Laveranues Coles, RB Leon Washington, TE Chris Baker
