Predicted Score: Eagles 23, Giants 17
New York Giants: After gaining 154 yards on the ground last week against Chicago running back Derrick Ward finds himself on the IR this week with a broken fibula. Brandon Jacobs has practiced on a limted basis and may return from a hamstring injury but his status is unclear leaving Reuben Droughns the only current healthy running back. Plaxico Burress (3 catches 36 yds last wk) continues to struggle as injuries (ankle/knee) take their toll with tight end Jeremy Shockey mimicking Burress' lead. The Giants beat the Eagles 16-3 in their first meeting so I won't be surprised if the G-men win, but the return of McNabb and a sense of desperation should give the Eagles a boost.
- Start: RB Brandon Jacobs/Reuben Droughns
- Consider: QB Eli Manning, TE Jeremy Shockey, WR Plaxico Burress, WR Amani Toomer
- Sit: Giants D/ST
Philadelphia: After giving the Patriots a scare the Eagles dropped another close game to Seattle last week (28-24) with A.J. Feely looking like… A.J. Feeley. His four interceptions and 465% completion rate were down right awful reminding us why he's journeyman backup in this league. The return of Donovan McNabb this week should give Philadelphia some life and the workhorse, Brian Westbrook, will be ready to run against a defense that gave up 138 yards combined to Correll Buckhalter in their last meeting. Westbrook leads the NFL in yards from scrimmage with 1,598… "We still have an opportunity," Westbrook said. "We have to go out there and fight for these last four games and try to get in a situation so we can make the playoffs."
- Start: RB Brian Westbrook
- Consider: QB Donovan McNabb, WR Kevin Curtis
- Sit: WR Reggie Brown, TE L.J. Smith, Eagles-D/ST
