Game Preview

Predicted Score: Titans 20, Chargers 17
San Diego: While the Chargers can clinch the AFC West with a win at Tennessee and a Denver loss to Kansas City, this San Diego team is by no means dominant. They rank 21st in total offense, 20th in total defense, and 1st in inconsistency. Tight end Antonio Gates frustrated fantasy owners with 1 catch for -1 yd last week against Kansas City, which probably means he'll light up the Tennessee secondary this week. LaDainian Tomlinson is coming off a monster game against Kansas City and while he's not putting up typical L.T. numbers he's #2 in fantasy points among RBs (Adrian Peterson). The Chargers are facing an equal this week in terms of talent and record, so I'll give a nod to the home team.
- Start: RB LaDainian Tomlinson, TE Antonio Gates
- Consider: N/A
- Sit: QB Philip Rivers WR Chris Chambers, WR Malcom Floyd, Chargers D/ST, WR Vincent Jackson
Tennessee: What do ya' know… DT Albert Haynesworth returns to the field last week and magically the Titans get their first win in four games. Coincidence? Maybe, but with Haynesworth in the lineup Tennessee's chances of stopping L.T. are greatly improved and forcing Philip Rivers to beat you is the key to beating San Diego. On offense Vince Young continues his role reversal, throwing for more than 240 yards the last four weeks with Justin Gage emerging as a weapon. LenDale White left last week's game with a dislocated finger but is expected to play this week. Chris Brown filled in for White and ran for 46 yards on 11 carries.
- Start: QB Vince Young
- Consider: RB LenDale White, RB Chris Brown, Titans D/ST, Justin Gage
- Sit: TE Bo Scaife WR Brandon Jones, TE Ben Troupe, WR Roydell Williams, WR Eric Moulds
