Need to know: Drake London (hip)
and Michael Penix Jr. (knee) were inactive. The Atlanta offense
was terrible under Kirk Cousins with just 50 snaps against a weak
opponent (Miami). Bijan (12 touches) failed in a big way. Sills
stepped into the London role but had just 3 targets. Pitts led
the team with 9 targets.
TE Mark Andrews: 37 snaps (59.7%), 13.6% tgt share
TE Isaiah Likely: 36 snaps (58.1%), 9.1% tgt share
TE Charlie Kolar: 25 snaps (40.3%), 4.5% tgt share
Need to know: Lamar Jackson (hamstring)
was Inactive which gave Tyler Huntley (186-1-0, 8-53-0) the start.
4 touches on 7 snaps for Keaton Mitchell (4-43-0) who looks explosive.
Flowers (7-63-0) led the team with 9 targets.
TE Jackson Hawes: 35 snaps (55.6%), 13.0% tgt share
TE Dawson Knox: 27 snaps (42.9%), 4.3% tgt share
TE Dalton Kincaid: 14 snaps (22.2%), 13.0% tgt share
Need to know: After a couple subpar
games, James Cook (19-216-2) was back to his old tricks. He now
has three-straight games without a catch. Only 3 targets for TE
Dalton Kincaid (1-23-0). Josh Palmer was Inactive.
Need to know: QB Bryce Young was
Inactive so Andy Dalton got the start. The Panthers got blown
out by the Bills 40-9. Chuba (12-34-1) was the lead back but for
the second week in a row, Dowdle (8-54-0) was more efficient with
his carries. Tetairoa McMillan (7-99-0) led the team with 10 targets.
No other receiver had more than 4.
Need to know: With Cole Kmet inactive,
we got the expected usage bump for TE Colston Loveland (81.0%
snaps) but that only translated into a 3-38-0 line. Bears were
pass-heavy this week as they were trailing on the scoreboard most
of the day. Luther Burden III left early with a concussion.
TE Drew Sample: 32 snaps (54.2%), 0.0% tgt share
TE Noah Fant: 28 snaps (47.5%), 9.1% tgt share
TE Tanner Hudson: 11 snaps (18.6%), 6.1% tgt share
Need to know: A game with two bad defenses (CIN, NYJ) led to
77 points scored. Chase Brown (12-73-1, 3-32-1) has lost his workhorse
role but got there with efficiency this week. With 19 targets
in this game, that’s now 42 targets over the last two weeks
for Ja’Marr Chase! His 57.6% target share is easily the
top among wideouts this week.
Need to know: Judkins (9-19-0,
3 -2 -0) suffered a shoulder injury and is considered “day-to-day”
by the team. Njoku (knee) was back after missing one game but
Fannin (6-62-1) led the team with 8 targets. Jerry Jeudy (0-0-0)
had two targets. He’s averaging 2.75 catches per game.
Need to know: 2 rushing TDs for
Javonte Williams (13-41-2, 1-8-0) against his former team. Jake
Ferguson (0-0-0-) was left out of the national tight end day festivities.
Lamb and Pickens combined for 19 targets.
TE Adam Trautman: 40 snaps (63.5%), 0.0% tgt share
TE Evan Engram: 27 snaps (42.9%), 14.8% tgt share
TE Nate Adkins: 16 snaps (25.4%), 3.7% tgt share
Need to know: A three-TD-day for
backup running back RJ Harvey (7-46-2, 1-5-1) who had just 8 touches.
The broadcast noted that the Cowboys gameplan on defense was to
take away Courtland Sutton (4-67-0). As a result, Franklin (6-89-2)
led the team in targets with 8. Sutton did have a bad drop in
the 4th quarter that would’ve been a TD.
Need to know: What a show put on
by Tucker Kraft (7-143-2). Christian Watson (4-85-0) returned
to action and made the most of his 4 targets. The Packers receivers
are frustrating as the team likes to spread the ball around and
the targets are not condensed. Matthew Golden (3-4-0) has zero
TDs on the season.
Need to know: Nico Collins (concussion)
and Christian Kirk (hamstring) were Inactive. Both are expected
to be back in Week 9. 19 touches for Chubb (17-56-0, 2-13-0),
15 for Marks (11-62-0, 4-49-0) which is to be expected when the
Texans are playing with a lead. WR Jaylin Noel (5-63-0) played
behind Jared Wayne (2-20-0) and Xavier Hutchinson (5-69-1) as
the Texans rotated five receivers. Just 3 targets for TE Dalton
Schultz.
TE Tyler Warren: 39 snaps (73.6%), 17.9% tgt share
TE Mo Alie-Cox: 16 snaps (30.2%), 0.0% tgt share
TE Andrew Ogletree: 11 snaps (20.8%), 3.6% tgt share
Need to know: DJ Giddens was Inactive.
Jonathan Taylor (12-153-2, 2-21-1) is single-handedly winning
fantasy football games. He has 14 TDs in eight games. Josh Downs
(3-39-1) returned to action but had just 3 targets. Michael Pittman
Jr. (8-95-1) led the team with 9 targets.
TE Travis Kelce: 58 snaps (84.1%), 25.0% tgt share
TE Noah Gray: 38 snaps (55.1%), 12.5% tgt share
TE Robert Tonyan: 5 snaps (7.2%), 0.0% tgt share
Need to know: The Chiefs continue
to involve all three of their running backs which caps the ceiling
of Pacheco (12-58-0), especially considering they like to use
Hunt (9-40-1, 1-2-1) around the goaline. Pacheco banged up his
knee late in this game so follow injury reports on his status.
Kelce (6-99-1) had his best fantasy game of the season which also
included a bad drop that turned into an INT. WR rotation was as
expected with Rice (9-93-1) leading the team with 9 targets.
Need to know: RB Hassan Haskins
was Inactive. 24 touches for Vidal (23-117-1, 1-10-0) who has
a solid role while Hampton is out. Increased snaps for WR Tre
Harris as this game got out of hand but the fly in the ointment
for the LAC receivers is TE Oronde Gadsden II (5-77-1) who is
on the league-winner path if he keeps this up. QJ (0 targets)
is being hurt the most.
TE Tanner Conner: 31 snaps (44.9%), 7.4% tgt share
TE Greg Dulcich: 19 snaps (27.5%), 0.0% tgt share
Need to know: RB Jaylen Wright
(10 touches) saw his first significant action of the season as
the Dolphins used three running backs. Tanner Conner (2 tgts)
is filling the vacated tight end role but he’s not fantasy
worthy at the moment.
TE T.J. Hockenson: 40 snaps (81.6%), 10.0% tgt share
TE Ben Yurosek: 15 snaps (30.6%), 6.7% tgt share
TE Josh Oliver: 4 snaps (8.2%), 0.0% tgt share
Need to know: Ugly game for the
Vikings offense (164 total yards) as QB Carson Wentz was in obvious
pain due to a shoulder injury. Expect J.J. McCarthy to start in
Week 9. Aaron Jones (5-15-0, 2-15-0) returned and out-snapped
Mason be neither back was fantasy friendly. Jefferson (7-74-0)
led the team with 11 targets.
TE Hunter Henry: 52 snaps (76.5%), 4.3% tgt share
TE Austin Hooper: 39 snaps (57.4%), 8.7% tgt share
Need to know: The Patriots don’t
care about your fantasy team. Mack Hollins led the team with 7
targets. 1 target for Hunter Henry (1-7-1). Some signs of life
from TreVeyon Henderson (10-75-0) but he only played 20.6% of
the snaps.
TE Juwan Johnson: 55 snaps (76.4%), 16.0% tgt share
TE Foster Moreau: 13 snaps (18.1%), 2.0% tgt share
TE Jack Stoll: 9 snaps (12.5%), 2.0% tgt share
TE Taysom Hill: 5 snaps (6.9%), 13.3% rush share, 2.0% tgt share
Need to know: Rough day for the
Saints offense against the Bucs. QB Spencer Rattler got pulled
for Tyler Shough. Kamara (6-21-0, 2-24-0) continues to disappoint.
He has 1 touchdown in eight games. Only 3 touches for RB Devin
Neal (0-0-0, 3-11-0) despite playing 45.8% of the snaps. The Saints
abandoned the running game early.
Need to know: Skattebo suffered
a season-ending ankle injury in the first half. Tracy and Singletary
will likely share the workload moving forward with Tracy in the
lead back role. Slayton (5 tgts) was back in the starting lineup
after a two-game absence.
Need to know: A game with two bad
defenses (CIN, NYJ) led to 77 points scored. Garrett Wilson was
Inactive. The Jets got their first win of the season. Big games
for Breece Hall (18-133-2, 2-14-0) and Isaiah Davis (7-65-0, 5-44-0).
Down to scraps at receiver, tight end Mason Taylor (5-34-1) led
the team with 8 targets.
Need to know: A.J. Brown was Inactive.
Barkley (14-150-1, 4-24-1) sat out a portion of this game with
a groin issue but should be fine when the Eagles return to action
in Week 10. Tank Bigsby (9-104-0) should be on your watch list
in case Barkley goes down.
Need to know: Roman Wilson (4-74-1)
was the fantasy surprise for the Steelers this week. No need to
chase him. 15 touches for Jaylen Warren, 7 touches for Gainwell
who also lost a fumble.
TE Cade Otton: 56 snaps (96.6%), 20.8% tgt share
TE Payne Durham: 32 snaps (55.2%), 0.0% tgt share
Need to know: Rachaad White’s usage
was scaled back as he failed multiple times at the goaline. Sean
Tucker’s (12-42-1) 12 touches were the most he’s seen also season.
Encouraging usage for Tez Johnson (5-43-0). Baker had just 24
attempts. Egbuka (3-35-0) led the team with 9 targets but had
just 3 catches.
Need to know: The Titans lost 38-14
to the Colts. Spears (9-59-1, 3-23-0) played more as the game
got out of hand. All three Titans starting receivers had 8 targets.
These guys are not trustworthy in your lineup given the state
of this team.
TE Zach Ertz: 33 snaps (62.3%), 20.0% tgt share
TE John Bates: 29 snaps (54.7%), 3.3% tgt share
TE Ben Sinnott: 11 snaps (20.8%), 3.3% tgt share
Need to know: Jayden Daniels was
Inactive. This was Terry McLaurin (3-54-1) first game back from
a quad injury and he made a couple of highlight reel catches before
aggravating his injury late in the game. No receiver or running
back had more than 6 targets. McNichols (1-4-0, 5-64-0) is the
preferred RB in two-minute and passing down situations.
