Need to know: It was a two-headed
timeshare at running back for the Cardinals this week against
Dallas. Despite playing fewer snaps, Demercado out-touched Knight
15 to 11. Trey Benson (knee) is eligible to come of IR this week
but no word yet if he is ready. Marvin Harrison Jr. (7-96-1) set
a career high in receptions in this game with… 7. HC Jonathan
Gannon reiterated that Kyler Murray will start when healthy.
Need to know: Heavy snaps for the
Falcons skill personnel, which is what we like to see as fantasy
owners. Monster game from London (9-118-3) who led the team with
14 targets. This is turning into a lost season for Mooney (1-15-0)
who had just 2 targets and is really the 4th option in the passing
game.
TE Isaiah Likely: 33 snaps (58.9%), 17.4% tgt share
TE Mark Andrews: 28 snaps (50.0%), 6.5% rush share, 13.0% tgt
share
TE Charlie Kolar: 26 snaps (46.4%), 8.7% tgt share
Need to know: The Ravens welcomed
back QB Lamar Jackson (204-4-0, 5-14-0) after missing the past
three games with a hamstring injury. It took a while, but Henry
did top the 100-yard mark for the third time this season. Andrews
scored twice, but Likely (3-60-0) continues to play significant
snaps. Passing volume was muted here for the Ravens – just
23 attempts for Lamar – but Likely is worth a look if you’re
needy at the position. The Ravens use of Kolar is really a thorn
in the side of both Andrews and Likely.
TE Dawson Knox: 32 snaps (48.5%), 4.0% tgt share
TE Jackson Hawes: 31 snaps (47.0%), 8.0% tgt share
TE Dalton Kincaid: 23 snaps (34.8%), 24.0% tgt share
Need to know: Big game for Kincaid
(6-101-1) against the Chiefs. James Cook (27) had more rushes
than Josh Allen had passes (26). The Bills continue to avoid James
Cook (1-11-0) in the passing game. WR Josh Palmer was Inactive.
Need to know: HC Dave Canales alluded
to it this week and it happened - Rico Dowdle (25-130-2, 2-11-0)
was back in a workhorse role despite a healthy Chuba Hubbard (5-17-0).
Not much happening for the Panthers passing attack as Bryce Young
threw for just 102 yards but a big win for Carolina over the Packers
in Green Bay.
TE Colston Loveland: 65 snaps (81.2%), 20.6% tgt share
TE Durham Smythe: 23 snaps (28.7%), 0.0% tgt share
TE Cole Kmet: 21 snaps (26.2%), 5.9% tgt share
Need to know: The fantasy game
of the week as the Bears and Bengals combined for 89 points. D’Andre
Swift (groin) was Inactive which left Monangai (29 touches) in
a workhorse role and he delivered. QB Caleb Williams caught two
passes in this game, one for a TD from WR D.J. Moore. Ondunze
posted a goose egg on 3 targets while Colston Loveland (6-118-2)
went berserk. Cole Kmet left the game early with a concussion.
TE Drew Sample: 31 snaps (45.6%), 0.0% tgt share
TE Noah Fant: 31 snaps (45.6%), 6.7% tgt share
TE Tanner Hudson: 11 snaps (16.2%), 4.4% tgt share
Need to know: The fantasy game
of the week as the Bears and Bengals combined for 89 points. Joe
Flacco came into the game with a shoulder injury but posted a
470-4-2 line! Chase Brown led the team with 14 targets in this
wild game. Tee Higgins posted a 7-121-2 line that included two
spectacular catches. Perine left with an ankle injury in the first
quarter which allowed Chase Brown to have a workhorse role and
rookie Tahj Brooks to get a few snaps.
Need to know: Jaydon Blue was Inactive
in favor of Malik Davis. Just 10 points from the Dallas offense
against the Cardinals. Flournoy is the No.3 receiver. Lamb, Pickens
and Ferguson combined for 78% of the targets.
Need to know: Marvin Mims (concussion)
was Inactive. The Broncos played a predictably low-scoring game
(18-15) against the Texans. Harvey found the endzone again despite
getting just 7 touches. Franklin led the team with 10 targets
but finished with just a 4-27-0 line.
TE Sam LaPorta: 64 snaps (100.0%), 22.2% tgt share
TE Brock Wright: 35 snaps (54.7%), 2.8% tgt share
Need to know: It took a while,
but Jamo (4-66-1) got some action in this game against the Vikings.
LaPorta (8) was 2nd on the team in targets behind ARSB (13). Gibbs
(9-25-0, 3-3-0) was quiet as he had just 12 touches.
Need to know: Bad news as Tucker
Kraft tore his ACL against the Panthers and is out for the rest
of the season. Luke Musgrave will take on a larger role but doesn’t
have the upside of Kraft. Matthew Golden (3 tgts) left early with
a shoulder injury. Dontayvion Wicks was Inactive.
Need to know: Stroud left this
game early with a concussion - Davis Mills finished up. Chubb
(11 touches) and Marks (10 touches) continue their timeshare but
both were inefficient in this predictably low-scoring game with
the Broncos. Four RBs played for the Texans including Dare Ogunbowale
and British Brooks. Christian Kirk (8 tgts) returned to action
and played ahead of rookies Higgins (1 tgt) and Noel (0 tgts).
TE Tyler Warren: 66 snaps (84.6%), 14.6% tgt share
TE Mo Alie-Cox: 29 snaps (37.2%), 2.1% tgt share
TE Andrew Ogletree: 14 snaps (17.9%), 0.0% tgt share
Need to know: JT (14-45-0, 2-12-0)
posted his worst game to date this season as the Colts offense
was consistently under pressure by the Steelers and plagued by
turnovers. DJ Giddens was Inactive and remains 4th on the RB depth
chart. Alec Pierce (6-115-0) and Michael Pittman (9-115-0) combined
for 25 targets.
TE Hunter Long: 53 snaps (66.2%), 9.1% tgt share
TE Johnny Mundt: 27 snaps (33.8%), 0.0% tgt share
Need to know: No Travis Hunter
(knee) as he was put on IR prior to this game against the Raiders.
BTJ (3-55-0) was in and out of this game with an ankle injury.
Parker Washington (8-90-0) was the defacto No.1 wideout for Jacksonville.
This game went to overtime which allowed Etienne (22-84-0, 5-31-0)
to receive the most touches he’s seen all season - 27.
TE Travis Kelce: 55 snaps (91.7%), 17.2% tgt share
TE Noah Gray: 22 snaps (36.7%), 3.4% tgt share
TE Robert Tonyan: 6 snaps (10.0%), 0.0% tgt share
Need to know: Mahomes completed
just 44.1% of his passes against Buffalo. With Isiah Pacheco Inactive,
the Chiefs called up Clyde Edwards-Helaire from the practice squad
and made Elijah Mitchell Inactive also. No role increase for Brashard
Smith as the Chiefs had just 17 running back touches.
Need to know: Just 12 touches for
Vidal who ceded more work to Patterson (9 touches) than we expected.
The target tree for the Chargers was spread out this week as four
players had at least 5 targets. Increased playing time for Tre
Harris is a wet blanket on the outlook for the rest of the wide
receivers. Gadsden’s usage indicates he’s still a strong tight
end play.
Need to know: The Rams and Matthew
Stafford (281-4-0) had no problem with the Saints. Kyren Williams
(25-114-1, 13-58-0) and Blake Corum combined for 38 carries. Puka
(7-95-1) left the game early with a chest, shoulder injury. It
sounds like he’ll be OK for Week 10.
TE Michael Mayer: 53 snaps (82.8%), 18.4% tgt share
TE Brock Bowers: 52 snaps (81.2%), 34.2% tgt share
TE Ian Thomas: 11 snaps (17.2%), 2.6% tgt share
Need to know: I guess Brock Bowers’
knee is healthy. Dude lit up the scoreboard with a 12-127-3 line
on 13 targets. A lot of two-tight end sets for the Raiders against
Jacksonville which makes sense given the lack of difference makers
they have at the wide receiver position. Dont'e Thornton Jr. was
Inactive in favor of veteran Tyler Lockett. Workhorse role for
Jeanty (13-42-0, 5-47-1) who played 91% of the snaps.
TE Tanner Conner: 29 snaps (45.3%), 2.7% tgt share
TE Greg Dulcich: 23 snaps (35.9%), 13.5% tgt share
Need to know: RB Jaylen Wright
was Inactive as the Dolphins felt they needed an extra body on
special teams. Ollie Gordon (ankle) was injured in this game.
Dulcich (5-49-0) was the preferred passing game tight end as the
Dolphins have suffered numerous injuries at the position. Achane
(14-67-0, 6-39-0) led the team with 10 targets.
TE T.J. Hockenson: 48 snaps (77.4%), 13.0% tgt share
TE Nick Vannett: 27 snaps (43.5%), 0.0% tgt share
TE Ben Yurosek: 17 snaps (27.4%), 0.0% tgt share
Need to know: First game back for
J.J. McCarthy (143-2-1, 9-12-1) after suffering an ankle injury
in Week 2. Aaron Jones (9-78-0, 2-20-0) had some burst in this
game before leaving with a shoulder injury. It sounds like he
has a chance to play in Week 10. Hockenson (2-11-1) found the
endzone but had just 3 targets.
TE Hunter Henry: 51 snaps (75.0%), 21.4% tgt share
TE Austin Hooper: 36 snaps (52.9%), 3.6% tgt share
Need to know: Rhamondre Stevenson
(toe) was Inactive and we got a split backfield Henderson (18
touches) and Jennings (12 touches) although Henderson did play
75% of the snaps. His usage in the passing game will favor him
to PPR leagues. Douglas posted a 100-yard game despite playing
under 25% of the snaps. Kayshon Boutte left early with a hamstring
injury.
TE Juwan Johnson: 29 snaps (70.7%), 16.7% tgt share
TE Foster Moreau: 15 snaps (36.6%), 0.0% tgt share
TE Taysom Hill: 9 snaps (22.0%), 28.6% rush share, 0.0% tgt share
TE Jack Stoll: 9 snaps (22.0%), 0.0% tgt share
Need to know: Tyler Shough got
the start at QB for the Saints and predictably couldn’t crack
200 yards passing against the Rams. It’s over for Kamara (6-14-0,
1-3-0) in this offense. Rashid Shaheed (5-68-0) led the team with
9 targets. No other player had more than 4.
Need to know: Tracy (8 touches)
was not the lead back for the Giants as he split work with Singletary
(10 touches). It’s going to be hard to trust this backfield in
a low-volume Giants offense that contains a running quarterback.
Ray-Ray McCloud was elevated to the No.3 wideout role but had
just 1 target.
Need to know: Metcalf (4 tgts)
was not a focal point in this game as the three Steelers’ tight
ends combined for 15 targets. Jaylen Warren (16-31-2, 2 -2 -0)
handled 18 of 27 running back touches against the Colts.
TE AJ Barner: 43 snaps (84.3%), 16.7% tgt share
TE Elijah Arroyo: 22 snaps (43.1%), 8.3% tgt share
Need to know: Cooper Kupp (hamstring)
was Inactive. Sam Darnold (330-4-1) and JSN (8-129-0) keep doing
their thing. Darnold completed 21 of 24 passes as the Seahawks
trounced the Commanders 38-14. A little more work for Walker (13
touches) in this game but the backfield continues to be split
with Charbonnet (9 touches).
TE George Kittle: 57 snaps (86.4%), 17.4% tgt share
TE Luke Farrell: 21 snaps (31.8%), 4.3% tgt share
TE Jake Tonges: 4 snaps (6.1%), 0.0% tgt share
Need to know: This was McCaffrey’s
4th 30-touch game of the season. He posted a 28-106-1, 5-67-1
line. No 49ers receiver had more than 5 targets with Jennings
posting a 4-41-1 line. Just 4 targets for George Kittle (4-32-0).
Ricky Pearsall hasn’t played since Week 4.
Need to know: The Titans lost to
the Chargers 27-20 but scored only 3 points on offense. 14 of
their points came on two D/ST touchdows including a 67-yard punt
return TD from Dike. Cam Ward (145-0-0, 2-6-0) looked awful.
TE Zach Ertz: 41 snaps (63.1%), 19.0% tgt share
TE John Bates: 32 snaps (49.2%), 19.0% tgt share
TE Ben Sinnott: 17 snaps (26.2%), 0.0% tgt share
Need to know: It looks like Jayden
Daniels’ season is over after he suffered a dislocated elbow
against the Seahawks. Marcus Mariota will be the QB moving forward.
Terry McLaurin (quad) was Inactive. Luke McCaffrey broke his collarbone
and has been put on IR. Chris Moore played the most snaps of any
wideout but didn’t get a target. We have a Treylon Burks
(1-14-0) sighting!
