Usage Notes: Week 4

By Mike Krueger | Updated: 10/1/24

Each week, I’ll look at snaps, usage, touches, target shares and pull out the highlights you need to know from each game.

ARI | ATL | BAL | BUF | CAR | CHI | CIN | CLE | DAL | DEN | DET
GB | HOU | IND | JAC | KC | LAC | LAR | LV | MIA | MIN | NE
NO | NYG | NYJ | PHI | PIT | SEA | SF | TB | TEN | WAS

Arizona

Offensive Snaps: 59

RB James Conner: 34 snaps (57.6%), 56.2% rush share, 4.5% tgt share
RB Trey Benson: 11 snaps (18.6%), 28.1% rush share, 0% tgt share

Benson got 9 carries in this game but the Cardinals got blown out 42-14. Even with Arizona playing three running backs, Conner’s lead-back role (19 touches) gives him low-end RB1 upside each week.

WR Marvin Harrison Jr.: 54 snaps (91.5%), 27.3% tgt share
WR Michael Wilson: 50 snaps (84.7%), 31.8% tgt share
WR Greg Dortch: 43 snaps (72.9%), 18.2% tgt share

TE Elijah Higgins: 40 snaps (67.8%), 13.6% tgt share

TE Trey McBride was Inactive. An unexpected, ugly passing day for the Cardinals offense against a weak pass defense.

Atlanta

Offensive Snaps: 56

RB Bijan Robinson: 36 snaps (64.3%), 46.7% rush share, 11.8% tgt share
RB Tyler Allgeier: 21 snaps (37.5%), 53.3% rush share, 5.9% tgt share

Bijan had a TD on a screen pass get wiped out by a holding penalty. Allgeier (10 touches) got a little hot-hand action this week, at the expense of Bijan (11 touches).

WR Drake London: 55 snaps (98.2%), 35.3% tgt share
WR Darnell Mooney: 54 snaps (96.4%), 17.6% tgt share
WR Ray-Ray McCloud: 55 snaps (98.2%), 20.6% tgt share

If the Falcons passing offense can ever get going, we know exactly who is going to benefit. There’s upside available with all three of these guys.

TE Kyle Pitts: 38 snaps (67.9%), 8.8% tgt share

3 targets and zero catches for Pitts this week. He’s the fourth option in this passing game.

Baltimore

Offensive Snaps: 57

RB Derrick Henry: 37 snaps (64.9%), 70.6% rush share, 16.7% tgt share
RB Justice Hill: 20 snaps (35.1%), 11.8% rush share, 33.3% tgt share

Monster performance from Henry (24-199-1, 3-10-1) who racked up 27 touches. Hill led the team in targets (6).

WR Zay Flowers: 39 snaps (68.4%), 11.1% tgt share
WR Rashod Bateman: 37 snaps (64.9%), 5.6% tgt share
WR Nelson Agholor: 29 snaps (50.9%), 16.7% tgt share

Just 18 pass attempts from Lamar. Not much work needed from the receivers when Derrick Henry is ripping off 200 yards rushing. Agholor led the WRs & TEs with 3 targets.

TE Mark Andrews: 26 snaps (45.6%), 5.6% tgt share
TE Isaiah Likely: 31 snaps (54.4%), 11.1% tgt share

It’s ugly out there for Andrews. He has two targets total in the last two games. Can’t justify starting him with this kind of usage.

Buffalo

Offensive Snaps: 59

RB James Cook: 33 snaps (55.9%), 39.1% rush share, 3.7% tgt share
RB Ray Davis: 10 snaps (16.9%), 30.4% rush share, 0% tgt share

A rough outing for the Bills offense included just 17 carries from the RB position. Ty Johnson had a similar snap share to Davis but had just 1 touch and scored the only Bills’ TD.

WR Keon Coleman: 43 snaps (72.9%), 14.8% tgt share
WR Khalil Shakir: 35 snaps (59.3%), 18.5% tgt share
WR Mack Hollins: 36 snaps (61%), 22.2% tgt share
WR Curtis Samuel: 22 snaps (37.3%), 7.4% tgt share

Shakir spent some time on the sidelines getting his ankle re-taped. He’s the one WR that has consistent production in this offense. Samuel remains 5th on the depth chart and was in towards the end of the game during garbage time. 6 targets for Hollins, just 1 catch.

TE Dalton Kincaid: 37 snaps (62.7%), 25.9% tgt share
TE Dawson Knox: 27 snaps (45.8%), 3.7% tgt share

Kincaid led the team in targets (7).

Carolina

Offensive Snaps: 70

RB Chuba Hubbard: 52 snaps (74.3%), 62.1% rush share, 10% tgt share
RB Miles Sanders: 22 snaps (31.4%), 20.7% rush share, 10% tgt share

22 touches for Chuba. Rookie Jonathon Brooks is eligible to return this week, but no word yet on when he’ll be activated.

WR Diontae Johnson: 58 snaps (82.9%), 32.5% tgt share
WR Xavier Legette: 61 snaps (87.1%), 25.0% tgt share
WR Jonathan Mingo: 56 snaps (80%), 12.5% tgt share

With Thielen out, the Panthers used a tight receiver rotation consisting mainly of Diontae, Legette and Mingo. Double digit targets for Diontae (13) and Legette (10).

TE Tommy Tremble: 61 snaps (87.1%), 0.0% tgt share
TE Ja'Tavion Sanders: 20 snaps (28.6%), 5.0% tgt share

Tremble back in the No.1 tight end role but just 3 targets.

Chicago

Offensive Snaps: 60

RB D'Andre Swift: 38 snaps (63.3%), 57.1% rush share, 31.8% tgt share
RB Roschon Johnson: 22 snaps (36.7%), 25% rush share, 0% tgt share

Changes in the Bears backfield: Zero snaps for Khalil Herbert who was active. Heavy usage for Swift (23 touches) who had looked terrible through three games. Assuming Roschon keeps the backup job, he’s worth an add if available.

WR D.J. Moore: 55 snaps (91.7%), 27.3% tgt share
WR Keenan Allen: 41 snaps (68.3%), 13.6% tgt share
WR Rome Odunze: 47 snaps (78.3%), 13.6% tgt share

Just 23 pass attempts for Caleb and 7 targets to Swift left little for the wide receivers. Moore and Allen both had 3 catches. This pass offense isn’t capable of supporting two, let alone three receivers.

TE Cole Kmet: 54 snaps (90%), 13.6% tgt share

After a shaky start to the season, Kmet is back getting the snap share we’d like to see. Now, if he could just get a few more targets, that would be great.

Cincinnati

Offensive Snaps: 67

RB Zack Moss: 40 snaps (59.7%), 48.4% rush share, 13.3% tgt share
RB Chase Brown: 27 snaps (40.3%), 48.4% rush share, 10% tgt share

Still a 60-40 snap share split for Moss (19 touches), but a little hot-hand action got Brown more touches (17) than normal this week. 3 TDs scored by the running backs including 2 from Brown.

WR Ja'Marr Chase: 53 snaps (79.1%), 20.0% tgt share
WR Andrei Iosivas: 51 snaps (76.1%), 3.3% tgt share
WR Tee Higgins: 43 snaps (64.2%), 33.3% tgt share

Higgins led the WR group with 10 targets. Only 1 target for Iosivas this week.

TE Erick All: 40 snaps (59.7%), 13.3% tgt share
TE Mike Gesicki: 22 snaps (32.8%), 3.3% tgt share

Bengals are using Drew Sample (38 snaps) at tight end also. You may have received negative points for Gesicki this week as his lone catch went for minus 9 yards.

Cleveland

Offensive Snaps: 59

RB Jerome Ford: 46 snaps (78.0%), 45.5% rush share, 21.9% tgt share
RB D'Onta Foreman: 13 snaps (22%), 18.2% rush share, 3.1% tgt share

The Browns backfield was dominated by Ford including 7 targets in the passing game.

WR Amari Cooper: 55 snaps (93.2%), 25.0% tgt share
WR Jerry Jeudy: 51 snaps (86.4%), 28.1% tgt share
WR Elijah Moore: 43 snaps (72.9%), 3.1% tgt share

The Browns passing game is unreliable and uncomfortable to watch. Watson has yet to top 200 passing yards in a game. Cooper and Jeudy combined for 17 targets but just 10 catches.

TE Jordan Akins: 28 snaps (47.5%), 6.2% tgt share

The Browns used 3 tight ends in the absence of Njoku. Move along, nothing to see here.

Dallas

Offensive Snaps: 56

RB Rico Dowdle: 25 snaps (44.6%), 47.8% rush share, 3.8% tgt share
RB Ezekiel Elliott: 10 snaps (17.9%), 21.7% rush share, 3.8% tgt share
RB Hunter Luepke: 29 snaps (51.8%), 8.7% rush share, 7.7% tgt share

There’s nothing exciting about the Cowboys running backs. Elliott (6 touches) took a backseat to Dowdle (12 touches) in this game while FB Hunter Luepke (4 touches) is involved just enough to be annoying.

WR CeeDee Lamb: 47 snaps (83.9%), 30.8% tgt share
WR Brandin Cooks: 46 snaps (82.1%), 15.4% tgt share
WR Jalen Tolbert: 39 snaps (69.6%), 11.5% tgt share

Low play volume for Dallas. The WR group remains consistent but the secondary pieces didn’t see enough targets to be relevant. Lamb added 3 carries to his 8 targets.

TE Jake Ferguson: 41 snaps (73.2%), 26.9% tgt share

Ferguson was 2nd on the team in targets (7) behind Lamb (8). He’s a TE1 given the lack of depth at the position.

Denver

Offensive Snaps: 61

RB Javonte Williams: 35 snaps (57.4%), 51.6% rush share, 12% tgt share
RB Jaleel McLaughlin: 21 snaps (34.4%), 29% rush share, 4% tgt share

Tyler Badie suffered a back injury in this game and is likely headed for IR. That allowed more touches for Javonte (18) and McLaughlin (10).

WR Courtland Sutton: 48 snaps (78.7%), 36.0% tgt share
WR Lil'Jordan Humphrey: 42 snaps (68.9%), 4.0% tgt share
WR Josh Reynolds: 26 snaps (42.6%), 8.0% tgt share

Sutton (9 targets) was the only wide receiver to catch a pass from Nix who threw for a grand total of 60 yards! Avoid every WR in this offense except Sutton.

Detroit

Offensive Snaps: 53

RB Jahmyr Gibbs: 30 snaps (56.6%), 50% rush share, 0% tgt share
RB David Montgomery: 21 snaps (39.6%), 42.9% rush share, 5.3% tgt share

Both RBs finished in the top 20 this week and combined for 3 TDs on 27 touches (Gibbs 14, Montgomery 13).

WR Amon-Ra St. Brown: 47 snaps (88.7%), 31.6% tgt share
WR Jameson Williams: 51 snaps (96.2%), 10.5% tgt share
WR Tim Patrick: 21 snaps (39.6%), 10.5% tgt share

The Lions racked up 42 points on just 53 plays. Goff only threw 18 times but completed them all. Big 70-yard TD from Jamo. Patrick has taken over the No.3 wide receiver role.

TE Sam LaPorta: 47 snaps (88.7%), 21.1% tgt share

No restrictions on LaPorta despite coming into the game with an ankle issue. His main problem is there are too many mouths to feed in this offense.

Green Bay

Offensive Snaps: 76

RB Josh Jacobs: 46 snaps (60.5%), 47.4% rush share, 11.1% tgt share
RB Emanuel Wilson: 30 snaps (39.5%), 42.1% rush share, 1.9% tgt share

Just 17 rushing attempts from the RBs but a fairly even split. Packers were in pass-happy mode much of the second half.

WR Jayden Reed: 59 snaps (77.6%), 14.8% tgt share
WR Romeo Doubs: 65 snaps (85.5%), 14.8% tgt share
WR Christian Watson: 9 snaps (11.8%), 1.9% tgt share
WR Dontayvion Wicks: 58 snaps (76.3%), 24.1% tgt share

54 pass attempts from Love. Watson left this game with an ankle injury which resulted in a spiked performance from Wicks (13 targets) who will be a hot waiver add this week.

TE Tucker Kraft: 65 snaps (85.5%), 16.7% tgt share
TE Luke Musgrave: 25 snaps (32.9%), 5.6% tgt share

Nice performance from Kraft (6-53-1) who has taken over the starting TE role.

Houston

Offensive Snaps: 75

RB Dare Ogunbowale: 29 snaps (38.7%), 7.7% rush share, 10.3% tgt share
RB Cam Akers: 30 snaps (40%), 50% rush share, 0% tgt share

Akers’ role (13 touches) wasn’t that strong with Mixon out. The Texans also mixed in J.J. Taylor (16 snaps) and British Brooks (6 snaps). I expect Mixon to be back next week.

WR Nico Collins: 63 snaps (84%), 38.5% tgt share
WR Stefon Diggs: 62 snaps (82.7%), 23.1% tgt share
WR Robert Woods: 54 snaps (72%), 7.7% tgt share

Nico is an easy top 10 fantasy wideout. Woods took over Tank Dell’s role who was Inactive but the targets flowed to Nico (15) and Diggs (9).

TE Dalton Schultz: 65 snaps (86.7%), 12.8% tgt share

This was Schultz’s best fantasy game of the season (3-34-0).

Indianapolis

Offensive Snaps: 66

RB Jonathan Taylor: 48 snaps (72.7%), 65.6% rush share, 14.3% tgt share
RB Trey Sermon: 17 snaps (25.8%), 15.6% rush share, 0% tgt share

Taylor sprained his ankle in this game. We’ll see how that affects him moving forward. Sermon would be a volume-based fill-in with limited upside if J.T. misses time.

WR Michael Pittman Jr.: 58 snaps (87.9%), 32.1% tgt share
WR Alec Pierce: 55 snaps (83.3%), 7.1% tgt share
WR Josh Downs: 41 snaps (62.1%), 32.1% tgt share

Anthony Richardson left this game with a hip injury and was replaced by Joe Flacco. 9 targets each for Pittman and Downs. Adonai Mitchell (13 snaps) can be dropped if you need the roster space.

Jacksonville

Offensive Snaps: 58

RB Travis Etienne: 30 snaps (51.7%), 45.8% rush share, 6.2% tgt share
RB Tank Bigsby: 17 snaps (29.3%), 29.2% rush share, 0% tgt share

D'Ernest Johnson mixed in for 12 snaps, making Etienne nothing more than a Flex option given his minimal opportunities and the struggles of the offense as a whole.

WR Gabe Davis: 46 snaps (79.3%), 15.6% tgt share
WR Brian Thomas Jr.: 44 snaps (75.9%), 28.1% tgt share
WR Christian Kirk: 45 snaps (77.6%), 37.5% tgt share

At least we know where the ball is going when Lawrence drops back to pass. Kirk and Thomas combined for 21 of 32 targets. 5 targets for Gabe who caught 1 for minus two yards.

TE Brenton Strange: 42 snaps (72.4%), 9.4% tgt share

Another week without Engram (hamstring). Expect to see him in Week 5.

Kansas City

Offensive Snaps: 62

RB Kareem Hunt: 28 snaps (45.2%), 53.8% rush share, 10.7% tgt share
RB Samaje Perine: 25 snaps (40.3%), 19.2% rush share, % tgt share
RB Carson Steele: 11 snaps (17.7%), 7.7% rush share, 10.7% tgt share

Steele fumbled early in the game, his 2nd fumble in four weeks. He’s now on the outside looking in as Hunt had 16 touches. CEH is eligible to return this week to further muddy the waters.

WR Rashee Rice: 4 snaps (%), 0.0% tgt share
WR Xavier Worthy: 45 snaps (72.6%), 14.3% tgt share
WR Justin Watson: 43 snaps (69.4%), 10.7% tgt share
WR JuJu Smith-Schuster: 32 snaps (51.6%), 0.0% tgt share

Huge loss for the Chiefs as Rice (knee) is likely out for the season. Expect to see more of JuJu Smith-Schuster and Justin Watson on the field. They are the two candidates to likely fill Rice’s role. Worthy and Kelce will likely see a target bump as well.

TE Travis Kelce: 54 snaps (87.1%), 32.1% tgt share
TE Noah Gray: 32 snaps (51.6%), 14.3% tgt share

Kelce appeared to be the focus of the Chiefs offense from the get-go, even with Rice leaving early. He led all TEs this week with a 32.1% target share. He’s going to be more of a priority now that Rice is gone.

LA Chargers

Offensive Snaps: 56

RB J.K. Dobbins: 40 snaps (71.4%), 58.3% rush share, 14.8% tgt share
RB Gus Edwards: 14 snaps (25%), 25% rush share, 0% tgt share

The Chargers had one good drive to start the game. After that, not much else happened except penalties and Herbert limping around on one leg. Dobbins (17 touches) is the clear lead back and will have better matchups moving forward.

WR Josh Palmer: 44 snaps (78.6%), 14.8% tgt share
WR Ladd McConkey: 43 snaps (76.8%), 25.9% tgt share
WR Quentin Johnston: 43 snaps (76.8%), 18.5% tgt share

Herbert (179 passing yards) was under pressure all game as the Chargers were without their top two Tackles. McConkey led the group with 7 targets.

LA Rams

Offensive Snaps: 61

RB Kyren Williams: 48 snaps (78.7%), 73.1% rush share, 13.8% tgt share
RB Ronnie Rivers: 13 snaps (21.3%), 23.1% rush share, 0% tgt share

Kyren’s usage remains strong. He has 20-plus touches in three out of four games.

WR Tutu Atwell: 55 snaps (90.2%), 20.7% tgt share
WR Demarcus Robinson: 52 snaps (85.2%), 10.3% tgt share
WR Tyler Johnson: 10 snaps (16.4%), 3.4% tgt share
WR Jordan Whittington: 59 snaps (96.7%), 27.6% tgt share

A big spike in usage for the rookie Whittington comes at the expense of Tyler Johnson. Whittington led the team with 8 targets. He should be on your fantasy radar until Kupp comes back.

TE Colby Parkinson: 53 snaps (86.9%), 24.1% tgt share

Solid usage from Parkinson (7 targets) who’s one of the better meh tight ends.

Las Vegas

Offensive Snaps: 59

RB Zamir White: 35 snaps (59.3%), 58.6% rush share, 4.2% tgt share
RB Alexander Mattison: 21 snaps (35.6%), 17.2% rush share, 4.2% tgt share

Another bad outing for White (17-50-0, fumble lost) who is likely headed for a reduced role. Expect more usage from Mattison moving forward.

WR Jakobi Meyers: 57 snaps (96.6%), 41.7% tgt share
WR Tre Tucker: 50 snaps (84.7%), 25.0% tgt share
WR D.J. Turner: 25 snaps (42.4%), 4.2% tgt share

Davante Adams (hamstring) was Inactive. A huge target share for Meyers (41.7%) which led all WRs this week, but terribly inefficient as he finished with just a 5-49-0 line. Tucker is a viable Flex option when Adams is out.

TE Brock Bowers: 48 snaps (81.4%), 12.5% tgt share
TE Harrison Bryant: 45 snaps (76.3%), 8.3% tgt share

No big usage or target increase for Bowers with Adams and Mayer out. Bryant stepped in to file Mayer’s role.

Miami

Offensive Snaps: 60

RB De'Von Achane: 44 snaps (73.3%), 33.3% rush share, 14.3% tgt share
RB Jaylen Wright: 28 snaps (46.7%), 30% rush share, 4.8% tgt share
RB Jeff Wilson: 2 snaps (3.3%), 0% rush share, 0% tgt share

Mostert was Inactive. Wright was used as the No.2 RB. 19 running back carries resulted in 47 yards.

WR Tyreek Hill: 44 snaps (73.3%), 33.3% tgt share
WR Jaylen Waddle: 43 snaps (71.7%), 28.6% tgt share
WR Braxton Berrios: 15 snaps (25%), 0.0% tgt share

Ugly passing attack from the Dolphins with Tyler Huntly at QB. 22 pass attempts. Couldn’t even crack 100 yards through the air. Hill led all receivers with 36 yards. Tua won’t return until Week 8.

Minnesota

Offensive Snaps: 68

RB Aaron Jones: 56 snaps (82.4%), 64.7% rush share, 18.5% tgt share
RB Ty Chandler: 8 snaps (11.8%), 8.8% rush share, 3.7% tgt share

Strong usage for Aaron Jones (26 touches) against his former team. Chandler saw just 4 touches.

WR Justin Jefferson: 61 snaps (89.7%), 29.6% tgt share
WR Jordan Addison: 45 snaps (66.2%), 14.8% tgt share
WR Brandon Powell: 23 snaps (33.8%), 7.4% tgt share

Usage was a little light for Addison (4 targets) in his first game back from injury as the Vikings played five wideouts. Expect the usage to tick up for Addison moving forward.

New England

Offensive Snaps: 64

RB Rhamondre Stevenson: 35 snaps (54.7%), 54.2% rush share, 15.6% tgt share
RB Antonio Gibson: 22 snaps (34.4%), 25% rush share, 12.5% tgt share

17 touches for Rhamondre led to 62 scoreless yards. Gibson broke off a 50-yard reception for the Pats highlight of the day.

WR Jay’Lynn Polk: 53 snaps (82.8%), 21.9% tgt share
WR K.J. Osborn: 42 snaps (65.6%), 15.6% tgt share
WR Demario Douglas: 38 snaps (59.4%), 9.4% tgt share
WR Tyquan Thornton: 13 snaps (20.3%), 3.1% tgt share

We’re going to see a lot of games like this from the Patriots were basically nobody is useful in fantasy football. Polk’s 7 targets led the team but he totaled just 30 yards.

TE Hunter Henry: 50 snaps (78.1%), 9.4% tgt share
TE Austin Hooper: 38 snaps (59.4%), 6.2% tgt share

5 combined targets for the Pats tight ends.

New Orleans

Offensive Snaps: 74

RB Alvin Kamara: 61 snaps (82.4%), 57.6% rush share, 25% tgt share
RB Jamaal Williams: 11 snaps (14.9%), 9.1% rush share, 5.6% tgt share

Kamara came into this game banged up but still got 26 touches. Taysom Hill got six carries and scored two rushing TDs before getting injured.

WR Chris Olave: 58 snaps (78.4%), 27.8% tgt share
WR Rashid Shaheed: 57 snaps (77%), 30.6% tgt share

Double-digit targets for both Olave (10) and Shaheed (11). We expected an increased role for Shaheed this pre-season and that’s what we’re getting.

TE Taysom Hill: 15 snaps (20.3%), 18.2% rush share, 0% tgt share
TE Foster Moreau: 42 snaps (56.8%), 0.0% tgt share
TE Juwan Johnson: 50 snaps (67.6%), 8.3% tgt share

Increased snaps for Juwan but he’s not earning enough targets to be fantasy viable.

NY Giants

Offensive Snaps: 69

RB Devin Singletary: 47 snaps (68.1%), 58.3% rush share, 2.6% tgt share
RB Tyrone Tracy Jr.: 17 snaps (24.6%), 16.7% rush share, 2.6% tgt share

15 touches for Singletary, just 38 scoreless yards.

WR Malik Nabers: 62 snaps (89.9%), 39.5% tgt share
WR Darius Slayton: 58 snaps (84.1%), 13.2% tgt share
WR Wan'Dale Robinson: 45 snaps (65.2%), 36.8% tgt share

Nabers (15) and Robinson (14) combined for 29 of the 38 targets from Daniel Jones. Solid PPR days for both but the offense couldn’t find the endzone. Nabers suffered a concussion in the 4th quarter but does get the mini-bye giving him more time to get cleared for Week 5.

TE Theo Johnson: 49 snaps (71.0%), 2.6% tgt share

The rookie tight end is off the fantasy radar until he starts to earn targets. Just 1 in this game and 8 for the season.

NY Jets

Offensive Snaps: 74

RB Breece Hall: 51 snaps (68.9%), 43.5% rush share, 12.2% tgt share
RB Braelon Allen: 27 snaps (36.5%), 34.8% rush share, 2.4% tgt share

It was an ugly afternoon for the Jets offense that couldn’t find the endzone. Allen (9 touches) has carved out a nice role but will need to be efficient to pay off.

WR Garrett Wilson: 71 snaps (95.9%), 19.5% tgt share
WR Allen Lazard: 65 snaps (87.8%), 19.5% tgt share
WR Mike Williams: 43 snaps (58.1%), 12.2% tgt share
TE Tyler Conklin: 68 snaps (91.9%), 19.5% tgt share

Wilson, Lazard and Conklin all had 8 targets. Mike Williams has solidified his spot as the third receiver but won’t be on the fantasy radar until he overtakes Lazard.

Philadelphia

Offensive Snaps: 57

RB Saquon Barkley: 32 snaps (56.1%), 50% rush share, 13.8% tgt share
RB Kenneth Gainwell: 25 snaps (43.9%), 10% rush share, 3.4% tgt share

Barkley got behind the defense on a wheel-route on the first play of the game but Hurts missed him. Surprisingly, Barkley (12 touches) wasn’t the focal point of the gameplan.

WR Jahan Dotson: 49 snaps (86%), 13.8% tgt share
WR Parris Campbell: 48 snaps (84.2%), 13.8% tgt share
WR Johnny Wilson: 32 snaps (56.1%), 6.9% tgt share

Both A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith were Inactive. We figured the thin Eagles receiver corps was going to be an issue and it was. The Eagles struggled to move the ball. The Eagles four wide receivers combined for 12 targets and 32 yards.

TE Dallas Goedert: 36 snaps (63.2%), 27.6% tgt share

Predictably, Goedert led the Eagles in targets (8).

Pittsburgh

Offensive Snaps: 70

RB Najee Harris: 48 snaps (68.6%), 43.3% rush share, 18.8% tgt share
RB Cordarrelle Patterson: 9 snaps (12.9%), 20% rush share, 6.2% tgt share

Finally, a blow-up game from Justin Fields (312-1-0) that included 2 rushing TDs. Jaylen Warren was Inactive. Disappointing day for Najee who couldn’t do much with 16 touches (73 yards). Cordarrelle Patterson (6-43-0, 2-19-0) left early with an ankle injury.

WR George Pickens: 60 snaps (85.7%), 34.4% tgt share
WR Van Jefferson: 60 snaps (85.7%), 9.4% tgt share
WR Calvin Austin: 39 snaps (55.7%), 3.1% tgt share

Big day for Pickens (7-113-0) who saw 11 targets. Just 3 targets for Jefferson despite playing 86% of the snaps.

TE Pat Freiermuth: 53 snaps (75.7%), 21.9% tgt share

Best game of the season for Freiermuth (5-57-1). His 7 targets were second on the team behind Pickens.

Seattle

Offensive Snaps: 91

RB Kenneth Walker: 53 snaps (58.9%), 63.2% rush share, 9.4% tgt share
RB Zach Charbonnet: 38 snaps (42.2%), 10.5% rush share, 9.4% tgt share

Walker was back in his lead back role after missing two games with an oblique issue. He made the most of his 16 touches, racking up 116 yards and 3 TDs. Charbonnet was back in his change of pace role and played at the end of the game when Seattle was pass-happy.

WR DK Metcalf: 73 snaps (81.1%), 22.6% tgt share
WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba: 76 snaps (84.4%), 22.6% tgt share
WR Tyler Lockett: 64 snaps (71.1%), 17.0% tgt share

Two weeks in a row that JSN has received more snap share than Lockett. Metcalf and JSN both had 12 targets. Metcalf drew multiple pass interference penalties.

TE Noah Fant: 51 snaps (56.7%), 3.8% tgt share

Fant was injured in the first quarter but did return. With Seattle using three TEs, it puts a cap on his ceiling. Disappointing output considering Geno threw 56 times for 395 yards.

San Francisco

Offensive Snaps: 63

RB Jordan Mason: 47 snaps (74.6%), 75% rush share, 11.5% tgt share

Another game, another high usage rate for Mason who handled 26 touches. He had the highest rush share (75%) among RBs this week. He should maintain this role until McCaffrey returns.

WR Deebo Samuel: 48 snaps (76.2%), 6.2% rush share, 19.2% tgt share
WR Brandon Aiyuk: 50 snaps (79.8%), 19.2% tgt share
WR Jauan Jennings: 36 snaps (57.1%), 23.1% tgt share

With Deebo back in action, Jennings was back in this typical WR3 role but led the team with 6 targets and 88 yards. Aiyuk’s slow start to the season continues.

TE George Kittle: 59 snaps (93.7%), 15.4% tgt share

Kittle missed one game with a hamstring injury but returned to his normal high snap rate in Week 4. Good to go moving forward.

Tampa Bay

Offensive Snaps: 77

RB Rachaad White: 45 snaps (58.4%), 40% rush share, 6.4% tgt share
RB Bucky Irving: 32 snaps (41.6%), 40% rush share, 4.3% tgt share

After all the speculation, both White and Bucky got the same number of rushing attempts (10) and rushing yards (49). It’s obvious White is not going to be the volume hog he’s been in the past.

WR Mike Evans: 59 snaps (76.6%), 29.8% tgt share
WR Chris Godwin: 66 snaps (85.7%), 19.1% tgt share
WR Sterling Shepard: 50 snaps (64.9%), 10.6% tgt share
WR Kameron Johnson: 25 snaps (32.5%), 2.1% tgt share

Jalen McMillan was Inactive. He was replaced by a committee of Sterling Shepard, Kameron Johnson and Trey Palmer. Regardless, Evans and Godwin remain the alphas in this passing game.

TE Cade Otton: 73 snaps (94.8%), 19.1% tgt share.

Otton out here playing all the snaps. This week got rewarded with 9 targets.

Tennessee

Offensive Snaps: 66

RB Tony Pollard: 39 snaps (60%), 55% rush share, 11.1% tgt share
RB Tyjae Spears: 27 snaps (41.5%), 37.5% rush share, 11.1% tgt share

With their inability to move the ball through the air, the Titans focused on their RBs. They combined for 37 carries, 147 and 2 TDs.

WR Calvin Ridley: 38 snaps (58.5%), 16.7% tgt share
WR Tyler Boyd: 32 snaps (49.2%), 11.1% tgt share
WR Treylon Burks: 35 snaps (53.8%), 5.6% tgt share
WR DeAndre Hopkins: 21 snaps (32.3%), 22.2% tgt share

Levis only played 11 snaps before injuring his throwing shoulder. Mason Rudolph finished the game at QB. The two QBs combined for 102 yards passing. Hopkins remains limited in playing time but saw the most targets (4).

TE Chigoziem Okonkwo: 33 snaps (50.8%), 16.7% tgt share

No reason to have Chig on your fantasy team.

Washington

Offensive Snaps: 72

RB Brian Robinson Jr.: 45 snaps (62.5%), 56.8% rush share, 10% tgt share
RB Jeremy McNichols: 27 snaps (37.5%), 21.6% rush share, 3.3% tgt share

Austin Ekeler was Inactive. 9 touches for McNichols who managed to score twice. Robinson’s snap share and rush share were on par with his normal workload even with Ekeler out.

WR Terry McLaurin: 51 snaps (70.8%), 33.3% tgt share
WR Noah Brown: 48 snaps (66.7%), 13.3% tgt share
WR Luke McCaffrey: 32 snaps (44.4%), 3.3% tgt share
WR Dyami Brown: 18 snaps (25%), 3.3% tgt share

10 targets for McLaurin. Washington rotated five receivers which makes it difficult for any secondary wideout to have fantasy relevance.

TE Zach Ertz: 49 snaps (68.1%), 10.0% tgt share

Ertz has yet to show a ceiling this season. He’s averaging 4 targets a game.
